Anneke Jakobs ontrafelt bestaande producten. Met haar bevindingen ontwerpt ze ongewone, interactieve projecten die over de constructie en het ontstaan van het product vertellen.

Door inzicht te geven stimuleert ze consumenten en helpt ze (bedrijfs-)organisaties:

Ze stimuleert consumenten na laten denken over onze geïndustrialiseerde omgeving en ze helpt organisaties om hun processen en producten inzichtelijk te maken voor de consument.

Met haar projecten slaat ze dus een brug tussen consument en industrie.

Ze ontwikkelt projecten op eigen initiatief en in opdracht van culturele sector en bedrijfssector.

Naast haar werkzaamheden als ontwerper maakt ze ‘vrij werk’ dat geexposeerd wordt in galeries, musea en (design/kunst-)beurzen.

Ze ontwikkelde onder meer: kookboekje ‘Eten uit Noord’ (2010), collectie Levende Machines (vanaf 2008) waaronder De Mobiele IJsmakerij (2010), een online productcatalogus Opruiming Beekstraat 9 (2009), unieke knopen-collectie www.thuisvlucht.nl (2007)

Anneke Jakobs unravels existing products. With her findings she designs unusual, interactive projects that reveal information about the construction and origin of the product.

By exposing such insights she stimulates consumers and helps (business-)organizations:

She helps consumers to think about our industrialized environment and helps organizations to give insight into their processes and products.

With her projects she tries to build a bridge between consumers and industry.

Anneke works on self initiated and commissioned projects.

Apart form her activities as a designers she makes autonomous work which is being exhibited at galleries, museums and (design/art-)fairs.
